Technical Specification: Human and Machine Communication (MPAI-HMC) V1.1 is a collection of Human and Machine Communication Use Cases – whose specification includes AI Workflows, AI Modules, and Data Types. The current V1.1 includes the Communicating Entities in Context and leverages the MPAI Technical Specification AI Framework (MPAI-AIF) five MPAI Technical Specifications deal with technologies enabling communication of real and digital humans in real or virtual environments: Context-based Audio Enhancement (MPAI-CAE), MPAI Metaverse Model – Architecture (MPAI-MMM), Multimodal Conversation (MPAI-MMC), Object and Scene Description (MPAI-OSD), and Portable Avatar Format (MPAI-PAF). MPAI-HMC adopts the normative elements from the five Technical Specifications that are required by this Technical Specification.
Terms beginning with a capital letter are defined in Table 1 if they are MPAI-HMC-specific or in Table 2 if their use extends across all MPAI Technical Specifications. A term beginning with a small letter has the commonly intended meaning.
