1       Definition

An Offline Map or HD map or 3D map is a roadmap with a high environmental fidelity representation.

2       Functional Requirements

An Offline Map reports the positions of pedestrian crossings, traffic lights/signs, barriers etc. with cm-level accuracy at the time the Offline Map was created.

Label Size Description
Header N1 Bytes Offline Map Object Header
– Standard-OfflineMapObject 9 Bytes The characters “CAV-OMO-V”
– Version N2 Bytes Major version – 1 or 2 characters
– Dot-separator 1 Byte The character “.”
– Subversion N3 Byte Minor version – 1 or 2 characters
MInstanceID N4 Bytes ID of the Virtual Space where Offline Map Object resides.
OfflineMapDataQualifier N5 Bytes Qualifier of the Offline Map currently being processed.
OfflineMapObject N6 Bytes Offline Map Object representing the chunk of data currently being processed by the Offline Map Scene Description AIM.
