An Item is a Data Type specified by MMM-TEC or other MPAI Technical Specifications for use in an M-Instance. All MMM-TEC Items are listed in Table 1.
An Item may be produced:
- By the activity of a Process, e.g., by sensing Media and producing Data, Qualifier, and Rights from the Universe.
- As a result of a request made by a human through a Process of that human or directly to the M-Instance.
Items referenced by MMM-TEC are specified by MMM-TEC or by other MPAI Technical Specifications. Item specification includes Definition, Functional Requirements, JSON Schema and Semantics and may reference the Qualifier of the Item’s Data Type to signal the relevant characteristics or technologies of a Data Type.
A Item Instance may include the Rights , i.e., the set of Process Actions that may be exercised by certain Processes on an Item at certain M- or U-Locations and at certain Times.
Table 1 – Items (Data Types) Used in MMM-TEC
Table 1 references Basic Object and Object; Basic Scene Descriptors and Scene Descriptors; Basic Scene Geometry and Scene Geometry, and Basic Event and Event Descriptors. However, MMM-TEC implementations may also utilise the specific media versions of these Data Types: 3D Model, Audio, Audio-Visual, LiDAR, Offline Map, RADAR, Speech, Ultrasound, and Visual.
