1 Functions
The Directed Visual Scene Description (PGM‑DVS) AIM is a directed describer SubAIM of Context Capture. It produces the Visual Scene Descriptors of the current scene from the captured Visual Object, refining its description against the interaction‑history Visual Scene Descriptors supplied to it. The coarse scene geometry (object identifiers and their Space‑Time) is the coarse part of the Visual Scene Descriptors it produces.
Directed Visual Scene Description holds no judgement of its own about what context to retrieve or store: it describes what it is given. The decision of which interaction‑history descriptors to supply, and the correlation with A‑User Control’s Directive, rest with the CXC-AUS Interface, which drives this SubAIM and collects its output.
The PGM‑DVS AIM:
| Receives | Visual Object | The captured visual data of the current scene. |
| IH Visual Scene Descriptors | Interaction‑history Visual Scene Descriptors, supplied by the CXC-AUS Interface, against which the current description is refined. | |
| Produces | Visual Scene Descriptors | The Visual Scene Descriptors of the current scene, returned to the CXC-AUS Interface and output to Enhanced Context Description. |

3 I/O Data
Table 1 specifies the Input and Output Data of the Directed Visual Scene Description (PGM‑DVS) AIM.
| Input | Description |
|---|---|
| Visual Object | The captured visual data of the current scene. |
| IH Visual Scene Descriptors | Interaction‑history Visual Scene Descriptors, supplied by the CXC-AUS Interface, against which the current description is refined. |
| Output | Description |
| Visual Scene Descriptors | The Visual Scene Descriptors of the current scene, returned to the CXC-AUS Interface and output to Enhanced Context Description. |

8 Conformance Testing
Table 2 provides the Conformance Testing Method for the Directed Visual Scene Description (PGM‑DVS) AIM.
If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.
| Receives | Visual Object | Shall validate against Visual Object schema. |
| IH Visual Scene Descriptors | Shall validate against Visual Scene Descriptors schema. | |
| Produces | Visual Scene Descriptors | Shall validate against Visual Scene Descriptors schema. |
