1 Functions

The Audio Scene Description (PGM‑ASD) AIM receives an Audio Object and produces the Audio Scene Descriptors describing it. In the PGM‑AUA context, the AIM operates under the control of an Audio CXT Directive issued by A‑User Control (through the CXT‑AUS Interface) and reports an Audio CXT Status on completion. The AIM references the Input and Output Data Types by name; their structure is specified by the respective Data Type definitions.

Receives Audio Object Audio Objects in the Audio Scene.
Audio CXT Directive Control directive from A‑User Control specifying scope, framing, and acquisition parameters for audio scene description.
Produces Audio Scene Descriptors Descriptors of the Audio Scene.
Audio CXT Status Status information describing the execution and outcome of Audio Scene Description processing.

8 Conformance Testing

Table 2 provides the Conformance Testing Method for the Audio Scene Description (PGM‑ASD) AIM.

If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.

Table 2 – Conformance Testing Method for the Audio Scene Description (PGM‑ASD) AIM

Receives Audio Object Shall validate against Audio Object schema. Audio Data shall conform with Audio Qualifier.
Audio CXT Directive Shall validate against Audio CXT Directive schema.
Produces Audio Scene Descriptors Shall validate against Audio Scene Descriptors schema.
Audio CXT Status Shall validate against Audio CXT Status schema.
