1 Definition
A Message exchanged between the Human-CAV Interaction subsystem of an Ego CAV and that of a Remote CAV in range, carrying what their passengers exchange – a Request or a Response.
2 Functional Requirements
An Ego-Remote HCI Message shall contain exactly one of:
- A Request from the Ego CAV’s HCI to the Remote CAV’s HCI.
- A Response from the Remote CAV’s HCI to the Ego CAV’s HCI.
It is exchanged over the External transport of MPAI-AIF V3.0, between the Controllers of CAVs in range, signed and verified as the Ego-Remote AMS Message is. The reference software of CAV-TEC V2.0 declares it at the boundary of the CAV without exchanging it.

5 Conformance Testing
Data conform to the Ego-Remote HCI Message Data Type when they validate against its schema. If the schema references other schemas, data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against that schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.
