1. Function

The Input Prompt Demultiplexing (PGM‑IPD) AIM is a Sub-AIM of Prompt Creation (PGM‑PRC). It receives the input components of Prompt Creation and dispatches each of them to the Sub-AIMs that use it, so that every Sub-AIM receives only the data it needs. PGM‑IPD does not modify the data it dispatches.

PGM‑IPD:

  • Receives the Context Descriptors produced by Context Description (they include the Text Object, if any), the AUC-PRC Request from A‑User Control, the PRC Interaction History Response resulting from queries made to Private Storage, and the BKN-PRC Request received from Basic Knowledge during an active session.
  • Dispatches the Context Descriptors to Prompt Token Analysis, Intent and Referent Analysis and Prompt Contextualisation; the AUC-PRC Request and the PRC Interaction History Response to Prompt Token Analysis, Intent and Referent Analysis, Prompt Contextualisation and Prompt Planning and Formatting; and the BKN-PRC Request to Prompt Planning and Formatting, which manages the session with Basic Knowledge.

2. Reference Model

Figure 1 depicts the Reference Model of the Input Prompt Demultiplexing (PGM‑IPD) AIM.

3. Input/Output Data

Table 1 specifies the Input and Output Data of the Input Prompt Demultiplexing (PGM‑IPD) AIM.

Table 1 – I/O Data of the Input Prompt Demultiplexing (PGM‑IPD) AIM

Input Description
Context Descriptors Structured descriptors of the current interaction context produced by Context Description, including the Text Object, if any.
AUC-PRC Request Request from A‑User Control specifying scope, depth, and policy constraints for prompt construction.
PRC Interaction History Response Interaction History response from Private Storage providing relevant past interaction context.
BKN-PRC Request Query received from Basic Knowledge during an active MCP session.
Output Description
Context Descriptors Forwarded to Prompt Token Analysis, Intent and Referent Analysis and Prompt Contextualisation.
AUC-PRC Request Forwarded to Prompt Token Analysis, Intent and Referent Analysis, Prompt Contextualisation and Prompt Planning and Formatting.
PRC Interaction History Response Forwarded to Prompt Token Analysis, Intent and Referent Analysis, Prompt Contextualisation and Prompt Planning and Formatting.
BKN-PRC Request Forwarded to Prompt Planning and Formatting.

8. Conformance Testing

Table 2 provides the Conformance Testing Method for the Input Prompt Demultiplexing (PGM‑IPD) AIM.

If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.

Table 2 – Conformance Testing Method for the Input Prompt Demultiplexing (PGM‑IPD) AIM

Receives Context Descriptors Shall validate against the Context Descriptors schema.
AUC-PRC Request Shall validate against the AUC-PRC Request schema.
PRC Interaction History Response Shall validate against the PRC Interaction History schema.
BKN-PRC Request Shall validate against the BKN-PRC schema, with Mode RQ.
Produces Context Descriptors Shall be identical to the received Context Descriptors.
AUC-PRC Request Shall be identical to the received AUC-PRC Request.
PRC Interaction History Response Shall be identical to the received PRC Interaction History Response.
BKN-PRC Request Shall be identical to the received BKN-PRC Request.

9. Performance Assessment
