Improves the user experience for audio-related applications (e.g. entertainment, communication) in different contexts (e.g., in the home, in the studio).
What MPAI-CAE is about MPAI-CAE V2.1 Conformance Testing |
Context-based Audio Enhancement (MPAI-CAE) improves the user experience for several audio-related applications including entertainment, communication, teleconferencing, gaming, post-production, restoration etc. in a variety of contexts such as in the home, in the car, on-the-go, in the studio, etc. The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) has adopted MPAI-CAE with the name IEEE 3302-2022.

Version 2 – Version 1
NPAI has developed Technical Specification – Context-based Audio Enhancement (MPAI-CAE) V2.1 implementing all the changes required by the new web-based format of MPAI Technical Specifications.
MPAI has developed MPAI-CAE V2 containing the data formats required by the Audio Scene Description Composite AIM. This AIM receives an audio stream from a microphone array and produces a description of the orientation of the composing speech streams.
MPAI Acknowledges the important contributions made by Marina Bosi, Mert Burkay Çöteli, Nadir della Pozza, Mark Seligman, and Matteo Spanio in the development of MPAI-CAE V2.
Version1 – Version 2
MPAI has published Conformance Testing Specification: Context-based Audio Enhancement (MPAI-CAE) V1.4.
