1 Functions

The Full to Basic Object (OSD-FBO) AIM gives access to the Basic Objects of which a Full Object is composed, sequentially. A Full Object is a wrapper of Basic Objects; the AIMs that follow work on the Basic Objects, not on the wrapper.

Receives Full Object (any medium) The Full Object whose Basic Objects are wanted.
Produces Basic Object (of the medium of the Full Object) The Basic Objects of the Full Object, one by one, in order.

2 Reference Model

The AIM has one Full Object input and one Basic Object output; it provides the Basic Objects sequentially. It is defined for all media: the Basic Object it outputs is that of the medium of the Full Object it received. [Figure 1 – The Full to Basic Object (OSD-FBO) AIM: to be drawn]

3 Input/Output Data

Table 1 specifies the Input and Output Data of the Full to Basic Object (OSD-FBO) AIM.

8 Conformance Testing

Table 2 provides the Conformance Testing Method for the Full to Basic Object (OSD-FBO) AIM.

If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.

Table 2 – Conformance Testing Method for the Full to Basic Object (OSD-FBO) AIM

Receives Full Object Shall validate against the schema of its Data Type.
Produces Basic Object Shall validate against the schema of its Data Type, and be one of the Basic Objects of the Full Object received.
