1 Functions

The Audio Object Acquisition (CAE-AOA) AIM:

Receives User Command From the User: what to capture, or which stored Object to read.
Audio Data From a device, e.g., a microphone.
Basic Audio Object or Audio Object From a storage device.
Produces Basic Audio Object Captured from the device: the Audio Data with its Audio Qualifier.
Audio Object Read from storage, a Basic Audio Object or an Audio Object, as it is stored, and forwarded as appropriate.

Audio Object Acquisition captures audio at 48 kHz. A captured sound is a single sound: what it captures is a Basic Audio Object. It also reads stored Objects, Basic Audio Objects or Audio Objects, and forwards each as appropriate.

8 Conformance Testing

Table 2 provides the Conformance Testing Method for the Audio Object Acquisition (CAE-AOA) AIM.

If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.
