1 Functions

The Audio Object Delivery (CAE-AOD) AIM:

Receives User Command From the User.
Basic Audio Object or Audio Object The Object to play.
Basic Audio Scene Descriptors or Audio Scene Descriptors The Scene to play.
Produces Basic Audio Object What is played, delivered to a device, e.g., headphones or loudspeakers.

Audio Object Delivery plays:

  • a Basic Audio Object as it is or, when it states a User Point of View, heard from there, its Directional Patterns counting;
  • an Audio Object as a Scene of its Basic Audio Objects, heard from its User Point of View;
  • a Basic Audio Scene Descriptors or an Audio Scene Descriptors by Spatial Rendering from its User Point of View – each member from its own, if it has one: each source attenuated by distance and air, weighted by its Directional Patterns, and placed by direction, binaurally or on a loudspeaker layout.

8 Conformance Testing

Table 2 provides the Conformance Testing Method for the Audio Object Delivery (CAE-AOD) AIM.

If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.
