1 Definition

Traffic Sign Objects is a Data Type describing the traffic signs found at one or more Locations: each sign as a Perceptible Entity, optionally with the road sign it was recognised as, the Text Objects on it, and priority information.

2 Functional Requirements

Traffic Sign Objects shall include, for each Location:

  • The Location, as an OSD Location Object.
  • The set of Traffic Objects at that Location, each a Perceptible Entity.

Each Traffic Object may include:

  • The Recognised Road Sign, one of the categories of Road Signs and Signals.
  • The Text Objects on it.
  • Priority information: Police, Ambulance or Hazard.

4 Semantics

Table 1 specifies the semantics of the Traffic Sign Objects Data Type.

5 Conformance Testing

Data conform to the Traffic Sign Objects Data Type when they validate against its schema. If the schema references other schemas, data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against that schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.
