1 Functions

The Column Text Selection (MMC-CTS) AIM selects the text of one column of a page. It receives the lines of the page as a Text Object, each line a Basic Text Object with its box in the pixels of the page, and, when the person has pointed, the Point at the top of a column. It produces the text of that column as a Basic Text Object: the lines under the Point that overlap it horizontally, down to the end of the column (a wide gap, a much taller line, or no line left), a word hyphenated across lines being joined. With no Point, the first column under the headline is selected.

Receives Page Text The lines of the page, each a Basic Text Object with its box on the page.
Point The Point at the top of the column, when the person has pointed.
Produces Column Text The text of the selected column.
