1 Functions

The Basic LiDAR Scene Description (OSD-BLS) AIM describes the acquired Basic LiDAR Object as Basic LiDAR Scene Descriptors. It raises an Alert when what it describes warrants one, without waiting for integration. Spatial Attitude and Basic Environment Descriptors are optional inputs, so that the same AIM serves applications that have something to connect to them and applications that do not.

Receives Basic LiDAR Object The acquired Basic LiDAR Object.
Spatial Attitude Spatial Attitude of the application (ego), when it has one.
Basic Environment Descriptors Descriptors of the environment, when the application has them.
Produces Basic LiDAR Scene Descriptors The description of the LiDAR scene.
Alert Raised when what is described warrants one.

2 Reference Model

8 Conformance Testing

Table 2 provides the Conformance Testing Method for the OSD-BLS AIM.

If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.

Table 2 – Conformance Testing Method for the OSD-BLS AIM

Receives Basic LiDAR Object (Basic LiDAR Object) Shall validate against the Basic LiDAR Object schema.
Spatial Attitude (Spatial Attitude) Shall validate against the Spatial Attitude schema.
Basic Environment Descriptors (Basic Environment Descriptors) Shall validate against the Basic Environment Descriptors schema.
Produces Basic LiDAR Scene Descriptors (Basic LiDAR Scene Descriptors) Shall validate against the Basic LiDAR Scene Descriptors schema.
Alert (Alert) Shall validate against the Alert schema.
