1 Functions

The Multimodal Object Delivery (OSD‑MOD) AIM delivers Multimodal Objects and Multimodal Scenes: it plays a Multimodal Object and the Multimodal Scene Descriptors of a Multimodal Scene, each member from its own User Point of View if it has one, and passes what is played, as a Multimodal Object, to a transport or rendering device. It is the AIM that renders what Multimodal Scene Editing produces. Audio Object Delivery (CAE‑AOD) and Speech Object Delivery (MMC‑SOD) do the same for Audio and Speech Objects and Scenes.

Receives User Command From the User.
Multimodal Object The Object to play.
Multimodal Scene Descriptors The Scene to play.
Produces Multimodal Object What is played, delivered to a transport or rendering device.

8 Conformance Testing

Table 2 provides the Conformance Testing Method for the OSD-MOD AIM.

If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema, if present, and conform with the Qualifier, if present.

Table 2 – Conformance Testing Method for the OSD-MOD AIM

Receives User Command Shall validate against the User Command schema.
Multimodal Object Shall validate against the Multimodal Object schema.
Multimodal Scene Descriptors Shall validate against the Multimodal Scene Descriptors schema.
Produces Multimodal Object Shall validate against the Multimodal Object schema.
