1 Definition

Face Motion Object is a Data Type comprising:

  1. Face Motion Data representing a motion of the face of the Persona of an A-User (e.g., gaze, expression, nod) as a mini-Process Action, that is, one step of a sequence that carries out a Process Action.
  2. Face Motion Qualifier specified by MPAI-TFA providing information on the vocabulary (Format) and the Attributes of Face Motion Data.

2 Functional Requirements

  1. A Face Motion Object shall be expressed in a vocabulary that its Face Motion Qualifier names.
  2. A Face Motion Object that is a mini-Process Action shall carry the identifier of the Process Action (ProcessActionID) of which it is a step and the identifier of the mini-Process Action that it follows (ParentObjectID), so that the order of the steps can be rebuilt.
  3. A Face Motion Object is used by Generative Face Description (PAF-GFD), directly or through Portable Avatar Formation (PAF-SAF) and Response and Scene Rendering (PAF-RSR), to animate the face of a Portable Avatar.

MInstanceID Identifier of the M-Instance (Virtual Space) where the motion takes place.
UEnvironmentID Identifier of the U-Environment (Real Space) where the motion takes place.
FaceMotionObjectID Unique identifier of this Face Motion Object instance.
FaceMotionObjectTime Time this Face Motion Object was produced.
ProcessActionID Identifier of the Process Action of which this Object is a mini-Process Action, if any.
ParentObjectID Identifier of the mini-Process Action that this one follows, if any.
FaceMotionObjectData[] Face Motion Data. Each item provides the data as inline content, a URI reference, or an external ID (Data; DataLength and DataURI; or ID).
FaceMotionQualifier Qualifier providing information on the vocabulary (Format) and the Attributes of Face Motion Data.
DataXMData MPAI-PTF Data Exchange Metadata providing provenance, authorisation, legal, security, and confidence information.
DescrMetadata Human-readable descriptive metadata of the Face Motion Object (plain text, max 2048 characters).

5 Conformance Testing

A Data instance conforms with Face Motion Object (PAF-FMO-V1.6) if it validates against the JSON Schema of Section 3. If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema.
