Definition

Proposition (PGM-PRP): Propositions produced by Prompt Creation. A Proposition links a subject to an object through a predicate, with spatial and temporal context where applicable. Intent and Referent Analysis uses Propositions to express the resolution of the referring expressions (pronouns, definite descriptions, demonstratives, deictic gestures); Prompt Contextualisation adds Propositions that represent contextual facts, timing guidance and phrasing constraints.

Functional Requirements

  1. Header: The Data shall have Header “PGM-PRP-V1.0”.
  2. Identification: The Data shall carry the identifiers of the M‑Instance, of the U‑Environment and of the session, and a unique identifier and a time (PropositionID, PropositionTime).
  3. Propositions: The Data shall include propositions.
  4. Metadata: The Data shall include DataXMData and may include DescrMetadata.

Semantics

Table 1 – Semantics of Proposition

Label Description
Header Header of the Data Type, with the version. (required)
MInstance Identifier of the M-Instance. (required)
UEnvironment Identifier of the U-Environment. (required)
SessionID Identifier of the A-User session. (required)
PropositionID Identifier of this instance. (required)
PropositionTime Time at which the Data was produced. (required)
Propositions Propositions. (required)
– PropositionID Proposition ID. (required)
– Kind What the Proposition expresses. One of: referent_resolution, contextual_fact, timing_guidance, phrasing_constraint.
– Subject Identifier of the subject (an Entity of the scene) or an expression. (required)
– Predicate Predicate. (required)
– Object Identifier of the object (an Entity or Item of the scene) or an expression.
– Expression For a referent resolution, the referring expression that was resolved.
– Spatial Spatial context.
– Temporal Temporal context.
– Confidence Confidence, 0 to 1.
DataXMData Data Exchange Metadata of MPAI-PTF: provenance, authorisation, security and confidence of the Data.
DescrMetadata Descriptive metadata (plain text, at most 2048 characters).

Conformance Testing

Data conforms with Proposition if it validates against the schema of Section 3. If a schema contains references to other schemas, conformance of data for the primary schema implies that any data referencing a secondary schema shall also validate against the relevant schema.

Performance Assessment

Not part of this specification.
