1 Introduction
Profiles define groups of Items and Actions that may be used to implement M-Instances where Process Actions serving specific application areas are performed. Profiles provide a programmed level of Interoperability between M-Instances implementing different Profiles.
Tables 1 and 2 list all Actions and Items supported by MMM-TEC V2.2. Actions are grouped by the Services of Table 2 of the Process Actions chapter; Items are grouped by the families of Table 1 of the Items chapter.

Table 2 lists the Basic and Full versions of the graded MPAI-OSD Data Types. The
Items chapter lists only the Full versions; the Basic versions are specified by
MPAI-OSD V1.5
and are required by the Baseline Profile.
2 Profile structure
The MMM-TEC V2.2 Profiles are Baseline, Finance, Management, and High.
- The Baseline Profile serves controlled environments in which
Processes share a space and interact perceptually, and in which security is not a
consideration. - The Finance Profile serves M-Instances that are closer to a website
than to a metaverse: a User Posts Assets, Discovers them, and Transacts without a
Persona and with minimal spatial support. This Profile supports security. It is
independent of the Baseline Profile, with which it nonetheless shares several Actions
and Items. - The Management Profile includes the Baseline and the Finance
Profiles and adds the Actions and Items needed for a marketplace embedded in a spatial
environment, for the governance of Process behaviour, and for interpretation of captured
Data. An M-Instance supporting a full virtual economy implements this Profile, not the
Finance Profile. - The High Profile includes the Management Profile and adds
interoperation across M-Instances and representation of the internal state of
Personae.
The Baseline, Management, and High Profiles have the following Levels: Audio only;
Audio-Visual; and Audio-Visual-Haptic. The Audio-Visual-Haptic Level is reserved: MMM-TEC
V2.2 references no haptic Data Type. The Finance Profile does not have Levels.
This is depicted in Figure 1. The next Sections give the complete list of Actions and
Items of each of the four Profiles.

Each Profile allocates the Actions and Items that may be used in Process Actions
executable in the Profile. While the four Profiles serve the identified needs, the
consideration of more and differently grouped Functionalities may lead to an increased
number of Profiles, and potentially of Levels, in future MMM-TEC Versions.
3 Baseline Profile
The Baseline Profile enables Processes to perform Process Actions that include the
Actions of Table 3 and the Items of Table 4. This Profile has the following Levels: Audio
only; Audio-Visual; and Audio-Visual-Haptic. It is targeted to controlled environments
that do not require security considerations, and it takes the Basic version of every
Data Type for which MPAI-OSD specifies a Basic and a Full version.

4 Finance Profile
The Finance Profile enables Processes to perform the Actions of Table 5 on the Items
of Table 6. It enables a User to Post Assets, Discover them, Transact them, and grant
Licences without avatars. As depicted in Figure 1, this Profile is independent of the
Baseline Profile, although it shares several Actions and Items with it. This Profile
supports security and does not have Levels.
The Finance Profile carries the settlement layer of the virtual economy: Asset,
Transaction, Value, Currency Object, Wallet, Provenance, Simple Contract, Licence, Value
Metadata IDs, and Financial Error Report. The market superstructure – Service
Pricing Model, Market Classes, Marketplace Policy IDs, and Contract Object – is
allocated to the Management Profile, because a marketplace in which Services are priced
and policies are enforced presupposes the spatial and governance machinery that
Management provides. An implementation of this Profile may therefore not use the
MC-Service Market Class.

5 Management Profile
The Management Profile enables Processes to perform Process Actions that include the
Actions of Table 7 and the Items of Table 8, which include those of the Baseline and the
Finance Profiles in addition to others of its own, as depicted in Figure 1. This Profile
has the following Levels: Audio only; Audio-Visual; and Audio-Visual-Haptic. It supports
environments in which Transactions are performed and security is important.
Beyond the union of Baseline and Finance, this Profile adds: the market
superstructure (Service Pricing Model, Market Classes, Marketplace Policy IDs, Contract
Object); the governance of Process behaviour (Fault Detection Report, Fault Behaviour
Report, Penalties); Execute and Interpret with their Items; the Full version of every
graded Data Type; and the remaining Export, Import and Locate Actions.

6 High Profile
The High Profile includes all other Profiles. It has the following Levels: Audio only;
Audio-Visual; and Audio-Visual-Haptic. Tables 9 and 10 give its complete list of Actions
and Items; the Actions and Items specific to this Profile are Convert and Resolve, and
Resolution, Universe-Metaverse Map, Cognitive State, Emotion, Personal Status and Social
Attitude.
These are what an M-Instance needs in order to interoperate with other M-Instances
– to open a multi-M-Instance Session, to Convert an Item into a local Qualifier,
and to map the Universe onto the metaverse – and to represent the internal state of
a Persona. A cross-M-Instance market, in which an Asset acquired in one M-Instance is
used in another, requires this Profile.
