Audio Scene Management is a Composite AIM of four AIMs:
- Audio Object Acquisition captures Basic Audio Objects from a device, or reads stored Objects.
- Audio Object Editing edits Basic Audio Objects and composes Objects.
- Audio Scene Editing composes Scenes.
- Audio Object Delivery plays Objects and Scenes, rendering a Scene for the User from the User Point of View.
In Audio Object Editing one Object, and in Audio Scene Editing one Scene, is open at a time, so that a User Command need not name its target: what is open is set by the data arriving at an Input Port, whose Header says what it is.
Audio Object Acquisition captures audio at 48 kHz; Speech Object Acquisition captures speech at 16 kHz.
